History
The buildings are from the 60s and were originally a residential training college for forestry workers, but in 2003 the centre was bought by Fredrik Tornberg, born and brought up in Pajala. The film team that shot "Popular Music from Vittula" used the buildings as a location base, since Tärendö was the main location, and after that Fredrik began a total renovation. Today the building has been transformed into Forest Hotel - a wilderness hotel for conferences and activities.
